This program is aimed at Project Managers who apply project management skills and knowledge. Participants must have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives.    They should be able to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others

Australasian Leadership Academy is an AIPM Endorsed Course Provider for the Diploma of Project Management and offers concurrent assessment for Australian PM Industry Certification for eligible participants.

 

DIPLOMA OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT (BSB51415)

Target Audience

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.

ALA (RTO# 41012) offers concurrent assessment for AIPM Project Management Industry Certification (CPPM) for those eligible and BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management. ALA’s Diploma of Project Management is an AIPM Endorsed Course.

What will I learn?

You will learn how to plan & manage project scope, time, quality, cost, human resources, information and communication, risk, integration, procurement, stakeholder engagement, governance and manage complex projects.

Australasian Leadership Academy is an AIPM Endorsed Course Provider for the Diploma of Project Management and offers concurrent assessment for RegPM Industry Certification for eligible participants.

How does the Program work?

The program combines Business Courses, Videos, Business Impact and Challenge series from Skillsoft’s eLearning content.

The program is broken into 4 Themes, each containing 1-6 modules. After you have completed the eLearning content for each module, you will be given the opportunity to apply your learning on the job.

Each month the program work gives you an easily digestible amount of information that won't overload or impact on your work life. This allows you to better retain and transfer the knowledge of each module into your workplace, as well as throughout the remainder of the program.

Additionally, participants are required to plan, implement & manage complex workplace projects, develop a Project Plan & Final Report, with mentoring sessions to be scheduled.

The “Research Tasks & Workplace Application” activities provides time to reflect on the content and your own thought processes, experiences, and work habits - allowing to make deeper affective and cognitive connections with the content, which contributes to long-term application of the principles that are covered.

What is the mode of delivery?

This is an online self-paced program. This means that you will complete your knowledge and initial skills development through online learning with specific milestones to complete along the way. You will also receive 2 x 1:1 mentoring sessions with an ALA assessor.

What is the Entry Criteria?

Minimum age requirements

  • You will need to be at least 18 years old.

Education requirements

  • While there are no formal education entry requirements, preferred pathways for participants considering this qualification may include:
    • BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice, with extensive vocational experience in project roles where they may have had some limited responsibility for the output of others but do not have a formal project management qualification.
How does this course add value to my career path?

The course requires you to “apply your learning” into your workplace while you plan, implement and manage complex projects through the entire PM Lifecycle.

You will be asked to reflect on your own experiences and organisation as you progress through each module. There are research questions and tasks you will need to complete in your own workplace.

Diploma of Project Management only:

  • eLearning  and additional  coaching = $3,500
  • RPL only $1,500 (no online license)
