Alastair was a triple AFL premiership player and captain with the Brisbane Lions and a member of the club’s history-making triple premiership teams of 2001-02-03.Originally from Tasmania, he is a former All-Australian selection, club captain, club champion and 306-game player with Fitzroy and the Brisbane Bears/Lions from 1989-2004. The first Tasmanian to play 300 AFL games, he was a member of the Fitzroy Team of the Century and the Tasmanian Team of the Century, and was further honoured in 2004 when Tasmanian football’s highest individual honour was re-named the Alastair Lynch Medal in his honour.
He was a foundation member of the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame in 2005 and was elevated to ‘Legend’ status in 2006.Off the field he is forging a new identity in the business and corporate sector. As director and co-founder of Gravitas Leadership Group and APLG, he successfully adapts the principles of leadership in sport to the business environment.
