In this introductory workshop, you will gain an understanding of Lean principles and methodologies that can be applied across a variety of settings. In doing so, you will be able to:
distinguish between value-add and waste
understand the plan-do-study-act (PDSA) framework
undertake root cause analysis on problems, and
identify tools that can be applied to achieve sustainable improvement.

Building on the White Belt training, in the second workshop you will continue to develop an understanding of Lean thinking and further build your repertoire of methodologies. In doing so, you will be able to:
Define what process mapping (including swim lane) and value stream mapping are and identify examples of when each is used
Identify the key steps involved in creating a process map and value stream map
Describe different process metrics and calculate them for a particular process
understand the characteristics and components of Kaizen Events (including 5S).
*Prerequisite: Lean White Belt Certification
